Afterwards, we will have a city tour. Reykjavik is the capital of the Republic of Iceland and the largest city and harbor in Iceland. Geographically very close to the Arctic Circle, it is one of the northernmost capitals in the world. Reykjavík has a beautiful environment, with almost no factories or pollution, and is therefore known as a “smoke-free city”. Due to its rich geothermal resources, the sky over the city is often filled with misty vapor, which locals believe to be smoke, hence the name Reykjavík, which means “smoky cove” in Icelandic.

Visit Reykjavík's landmark Perlan, shaped like a crystal ball, a hemispherical building built by the Icelandic capital's hot water supply company, which is also Reykjavík's high point and landmark. Reykjavík City Hall (exterior), Höfdi Building (exterior), the landmark of the end of the Cold War. Hallgrims Church in the city center (exterior) , the city's landmark. It is named after the famous Icelandic writer Hallgrims in honor of his great contribution to Icelandic literature. Construction of the church began in 1945 and was basically completed in the late 1980s. The church has a novel design, an organ structure, and the main hall is more than 30 meters high, with a seating capacity of 1,200 people.

Afterwards, we will visit Thorning Lake (Reykjavíkurtjörn), a famous small lake in the center of Iceland's capital city, Reykjavík, which is a year-round habitat for waterfowl animals, with ducks, seagulls, swans and other wildlife often seen on the lake. Surrounded by important buildings such as government buildings, museums and universities, the lake is beautiful and peaceful.
